County Says Aurora Should Own Roads
The Erie County Highway Department is asking the Aurora Town Board to take ownership for all of Grover Road to alleviate maintenance expenses for the county. No action was taken at the Aug. 24 work session, but if the board agrees, it could cut into some of the town’s revenue.

Crash in Darien Leads to Marilla Arrest
State Police on Sat., Aug. 28 charged Jonathan P. Murphy, 23, of East Aurora following a hit and run accident in the Town of Darien. Troopers reported that at about 9 p.m., a 2000 Ford Focus was involved in a minor personal injury hit and run auto accident at Route 77 and Sumner Road in the Town of Darien.
